Town / Urban Planning Services
We work with a range of clients including developers, homeowners and professionals. We are able to provide advice on Town Planning Matters in relation to appraisals, Permitted Development, preparation and submission of planning applications, planning statements and general planning advice to ensure a practical outcome comes from discussions between MAK and clients.
MAK will offer clear advice upon an appraisal to ensure clarity is provided on the success of a scheme at an early stage so that clients or developers can make informed decisions on the best way to move forward. All applications are subject to critique by Planning Officers at the Local Planning Authority and no guarantee is given that an application will be approved.
Building Regulations
We prepare Technical Design packages in close liaison with Building Control Officers which includes Fire Strategy Plans and assessing schemes against the Building Regulations guidance. All applications are subject to plan inspection by Building Inspectors at the Local Authority / Private Building Control Body and no guarantee is given that an application will be approved.
Sustainable Design
We believe in creating sustainable and environmentally-friendly designs that minimize our impact on the planet. This includes meeting the requirements of the current building regulations as well as necessary policies contained within the NPPF, Local Plans or relevant SPDs.

We are based in Nottingham; however, covering majority of the East Midlands, West Midlands and Yorkshire.

Are you able to provide advice on the likely outcome of an extension application?
Yes we will aim to provide clear advice on the likelihood of an extension being approved by assessing relevant guidance in relation to the Town and Country Planning Act, Permitted Development Rights (GDPO), Local Plans, Conservations Areas and other legislation that would be affected by the development.
What type of drawings are you able to provide?
We can provide sketches, 2d plans, elevations, site plans and 3d models utilising 3d software.
